“In the mainstream setting whether Kindergarten or Graduate School, new verbiage comes through the interpreter’s hands. This training is hands on application of techniques that foster student success.

High standards of service that are student focused and student driven including communication modes, vocabulary emphasis expansion techniques, language modeling and incidentental learning. Toss out the conduit model and understand the role of the interpreter as an educational team member. Review RID Professional Code of Conduct as it applies to educational interpreting. Learn about how to interpret lessons that will aid in student comprehension at all levels of cognitive development.
