What: “Serving People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing” for business’s, organizations and individuals.

Participants will become acquainted with laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, that require programs and services (government entities, for profit and non-profit agencies) to provide appropriate accommodations to persons who are deaf or hard of hearing.

This training will provide participants with an understanding of some of the differences regarding how to accommodate people who are deaf in contrast to those that are hard of hearing.
