* Basic and Advanced Microsoft Word
* Basic Microsoft Excel
* Typing and 10 key Skills with Mavis Beacon

Adaptive Devices Available
* Large keys keyboard
* Mouse options: right handed upright, big red button, joystick, rollerball
* Portable video magnifiers
* Braille embosser
* Assistive listening devices
* KNFB Mobile Reader with Kurzweil

Goals Achieved

* Basic knowledge of the computer and specified programs
* Create your Resume, Cover Letter, Thank you letter and memo to employers
* Learn to navigate the internet for jobs
* Creating an email account
* Create a budget

Class Information
* Starts: May 2009!
* Schedule: Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday
* Time: 9-11 am – class, 11:30-12:30 pm – lab time

The purpose of Technology 101 is to provide vocationally-oriented computer classes for people with disabilities utilizing assistive technology. Intake and class information contact Technology101 Trainer 512.637.7520 or atlab@austingoodwill.org. The funding for Techonology
101 is made possible by the City of Austin through the Grant for Technology Opportunities.
