You may contact Peggy Key, [email protected] for more information
about the school. Take a look at our website http://www.deafacademy.com
. You will see pictures of some of the activities we have done.
Our school firmly believes students learn best through intensive instruction
in ASL and English. We focus on communication skills and learning
vocabulary. We learn by studying and we learn by doing things. Our older
students have been on several trips where they learned to serve other
people. They have helped serve food, clean up the yard, repair a home, and
listen to other people from a variety of places.
In the classroom, we develop the concepts so students understand what they
are learning. We work with language, pictures, objects, re-enactments, and
many other ways of learning. Email Peggy Key to set up a time you can visit
LLAD to learn more about what makes us a school where your child can be
happy and succeed!
