You be You and I’ll be You
P117M INTERPRETING:
A workshop presented by Justin Lee, BEI Advanced, and Laura Christian, BEI
III, focusing on our linguistic additions/omissions, and cultural biases
that interpreters struggle with while interpreting, voice to sign and sign
to voice. During this workshop participants will be exposed to commonly used
signs/vocabulary hen will be led through the process of interpreting without
these.
The workshop will be presented in both ASL and spoken English. This workshop
is geared towards working interpreters.
