“District XI – Believe in Me!”

“Do you believe? I believe! Do you believe?” When the Leadership Fort
Worth Project Team heard these words boom from the cast members of “District
XI – Believe in Me!,” they immediately knew this was an important production
for adults and children to see and experience. They also understood why Kids
Who Care wanted to give a special performance for the community, business
and educational leaders – to say thank you for their many years of support.

Kids Who Care Inc is a musical theatre located in the Fort Worth Community
Arts Center. It began in 1987. Founding Director Deborah Jung was inspired
in 1986 as 1500 children, from around the world, performed a finale at New
York’s Madison Square Garden. One of her first productions was “Free to Be a
Family” by Marlo Thomas with children from around the Dallas-Fort Worth
area.

Since 1989, over 200,000 children from around the United States and from
countries like Italy, Indonesia, Israel, Germany, Latvia, Switzerland and
Spain have discovered, explored and developed their talents in the
year-round programs of Kids Who Care. Since 1990, Kids Who care has
produced and toured 19 musicals nationally and internationally, written by
Texas playwrights and songwriters.

With community, business and educational support, Kids Who Care has provided
more than $800,000 in Hope Scholarships, including children who are deaf and
hard of hearing. Kids Who Care has supported organizations like Make A Wish
Foundation and Cook’s Children’s Hospital, and has participated in special
ceremonies like the Special Olympics opening day.

There is much to celebrate in an organization, which began in the basement
of a Fort Worth church. Leadership Fort Worth and Kids Who Care invite you
to join us for an evening of celebration on Friday, May 7, 2010, for the
Appreciation Reception at 6:30 PM, followed by the last performance of Kids

Join us for a fun-filled evening.  Sign language interpreters will be
provided.
