Understanding the similarities and differences will allow interpreters and
ministers to better meet the communication needs of their respective
congregants.
Participants will receive the framework from which they can
build their communication access program. Participants will also discuss
ethical dilemmas that interpreters face in both approaches to communication
access and possible resolutions to the various dilemmas will be addressed.
Participants will learn and understand the characteristics of accessibility,
of a deaf ministry, how to establish accessibility, and how to establish a
deaf ministry.
