Message from Dallas Deaf Club – July 2010

Hello to all members and friends of DAD

July has arrived already and the weather is supposed to be a hot one but we
have seen some rain and the temperature has been cool around here. Hope this
weather will stay for a little while.

Last June, we had Town Hall meeting with Purple/HOVRS along a cook-out which
they have provided. I personally want to thank Randal Long for arrange this
event. Hands Waving to Randal Long and his committees with Purple/HOVRS.

We had 4th of July Cookout last Saturday, July 3rd which we had a blast
time, mingle new & old friends. Hand Waving Up!

Events for this upcoming month of July will be:

July 10th (Saturday) – Ladies Night 7pm – C’mon down here, ladies and grab a
great time away from your husband and children

July 17th (Saturday) – CINGO Night 7pm – Doors will open at 7pm and CINGO
will begin at 830pm. Mardi Gras Food Fundraising will sell Red Beans with
sausage and rice with garlic/cheese biscuits. Also, they will sell desserts
too. C’mon down and bring friends to enjoy this event

July 24th (Saturday) – Summer Social Afternoon – hosted by North Texas Deaf
Senior Citizens. Door will open at 12noon til 5pm. Please check their

July 31st (Saturday) – DAD General Meeting – 7:30pm. Hope to see yall at
this meeting.

We are setting up ASL Film “Black Sand” which will be coming to DAD on the
evening of Friday, August 20th and on the afternoon of Saturday, August
21st. Tickets will be available at DAD. Please see me.

I would like to remind you that DAD has their own website

upcoming events and social nights. If you desire to use DAD’s meeting hall
