ASDC was founded in 1967 as a parent-helping-parent network. Today, ASDS is
the largest national non-profit organization reaching international parents
and educators to support and educate families, as well as, advocate for high
quality education and serve for our Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students.
Last year they did free adversity for us in their publication The Endeavor.
They are a GREAT bunch of people who are focused on supporting parents with
DHH children in an ASL environment.
We are amping up our commitment to reach more parents of mainstream
students. These are parents we believe need our support the most.
Can we please add this flyer to Cal Ed’s e-forum, as well as, our area reps
and ask, beg, encourage our teachers to pass our info on to parents?
I will also be emailing all of you info on how school districts can become
members which in turn will better serve our parents. If teachers would like
more info, they are great about mailing materials to them!
See below:
Attached is the most recent conference flyer. (see below) Several people had
asked for this. If anyone needs copies please contact Erin Buck at
erin.buck@msd.edu. This doesn’t copy so well in black and white.
