Summer Career Exploration Program for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing High School
Students
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Feb. 17, 2011) — The Explore Your Future (EYF) program at
Rochester Institute of Technology’s National Technical Institute for the
Deaf offers deaf and hard-of-hearing college-bound high school sophomores
and juniors a unique opportunity to experience life on a college campus,
explore their interests and sample various careers.
More than 200 students from across the country typically attend this
six-day, summer career exploration program that provides them with hands-on
activities related to careers in engineering, art, business, computers,
science and more.
Participants may pick one of two EYF sessions, July 16 to 21 or July 23 to
28, 2011. On the final day of each session, parents attend a workshop that
helps them prepare their student for life after high school.
Students can apply online at http://www.rit.edu/NTID/EYFNR. For more
information, call (585) 475-6700 (voice/TTY) or send e-mail to
EYFinfo@rit.edu. The application deadline is April 30, 2011.
