2nd Annual ASL SPOTLIGHT

Hosted by Heart of Texas Interpreters for the Deaf

Who: Deaf adults and children, CODAs, interpreters, students, friends and family of the Deaf World

What: Come share your ASL stories, jokes, poems, skits, songs, ABC and 123 stories!

When: Friday night, April 22, 2011

6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Where:
Waco Civic Theatre
1517 Lake Air Dr.
Waco, TX 76710

Why: Waco has a fun and vibrant Deaf community!

This is a chance to share your language and culture with each other, with interpreters and students, and with a new generation of Deaf children in Waco!

PLUS… This year, we have a little something new. Since we are meeting at a real theater, we are going to have a RED CARPET EVENT! So get out your fancy dresses, gloves, suits, ties, and hats… Let’s get dressed up and have a party!

We want EVERYONE to participate! Deaf, Hearing, adults, students, and kids! PLEASE SIGN UP to tell a story or share something with us all. This is a family friendly event, so all presentations should be G or PG please!

($3.00 admission, light refreshments provided)
