TSID Conference 2011–Volunteers needed
DATE: June 23-26, 2011
Texas Society of Interpreters for the Deaf
“Building a Better Interpreter”
Call for Volunteers
As many of you know, TSID will be having their 2011 statewide conference
here in Corpus Christi this summer. The Corpus Christi Interpreters for the
Deaf (CCID) is the host for this conference. As hosts, we are responsible
for much of the conference organization and management.
It takes many people, working together, to make an event like this happen.
We are looking for capable individuals to volunteer during the main
conference, June 23rd, 24th, 25th, and 26th. We need people like you to be
runners, introduce workshop speakers, monitor conference rooms, and hand out
CEU stickers at the conclusion of each workshop. While not difficult tasks,
these are important areas that we need help covering. If you or someone you
know would be interested in volunteering your time at this year’s conference
please sign up or contact us so that we may add your name to our list.
Let us know what dates and times you are willing to help. We ask that you
sign up for a minimum of a 1 hour time block but would welcome all the time
you can spare. You will be able to attend the workshop you monitor so you
won’t miss out on any of the information. Let us know if there is a
workshop or presenter that you would like to work with and we will try to
accommodate your request. We are all excited about the upcoming conference
and hope that you will be a part of it.
Again, please specify the date(s) and times you can help. Also provide us
with a phone number so we can contact you as needed. Please let us know if
you are unable to volunteer or need to change your time after signing up so
that we might find someone else.
Thank you in advance for your help.
