REMINDER: DFW ASLTA Workshop 6/27/11

Attention D/FW area ASL teachers:

You are cordially invited to attend the “Make-It-Take-It /Show and Tell”
workshop. Please join us to get concrete, tangible ideas that you can use
in your classroom this fall. You will receive materials to put together and
ideas to take home and implement in your class. It is a great opportunity
to work with and meet other area ASL teachers. Hope to see you there!

Monday, June 27, 2011

TIME:
8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

LOCATION:
U.T. Arlington
Computer Science and Engineering Department
Engineering Research Building (ERB)
500 UTA Blvd. Room 103 (first floor)
Arlington, TX 76019

PARKING:
Free – Park on Lot 36 (blue) North of and across the street from ERB (red
circle). It is on the corner of Lampe St. and UTA Blvd. but you will enter
the lot from Lampe St. See the link to the map below.

WORKSHOP SCHEDULE:
8:30 – 9:00 a.m. = registration
9:00 – 11:30 a.m. = Make-It-Take-It sessions. Participants will rotate
among groups and have time to make activities to take home.
11:30 – 12:30 p.m. = LUNCH. On your own or brown-bag-it.
12:30 – 1:00 p.m. = Brief meeting for participants to appoint a committee to
draft updated bylaws for DFW-ASLTA
1:00 – 4:00 p.m. = “Show and Tell” sessions. Come ready to share a
project/activity/game/idea with your colleagues.

COST:
Members = free
Non-members = $20. BUT this $20 covers the cost of a year’s membership to
DFW-ASLTA.

You may pay by cash or check made payable to “DFW-ASLTA” at registration
time (8:30 – 9:00 a.m.).

RSVP is greatly appreciated as this helps guarantee your materials for the
“Make-It-Take-It” session.
