Upcoming Attraction Events – NSAD Tournament 2011

Big Dallas is the site for the national Deaf softball championship
competition on Wednesday through Saturday, August 10-13, 2011.

The National Softball Association of the Deaf (NSAD) will host the annual
national softball tournament which will be held at the Kiest Field Park in
the Oak Cliff area, south of Dallas, on August 10-13. Forty-one men’s,
women’s, and co-eds teams from around the nation are here to determine the
national champions. More than 600 men and women players will be in Dallas
for the softball competitions. Embassy Hotel will be NSAD’s headquarters.

The members of Dallas Association of the Deaf will have their doors open
welcoming the players and fans to the Deaf Clubhouse during the week of
tournament. It opens at 7:00 PM every night for special socials and to get
acquainted with everyone. DAD is the oldest Deaf establishment in America
and is proud to be one of the nation’s strongest Deaf clubs.

The clubhouse has recently been renovated. DAD now has six TV screens and
three music speakers. DAD’s properties have grown and improved and is now
valued at $1 million dollars. Please come visit and see for yourself.

Thursday, Aug. 11 — free to members and $5.00 to non-members
Friday, Aug. 12 — free to members and $5.00 to non-members
Saturday, Aug.13 — $2.00 per member and $5.00 per non-member
