Obituary: Buck Lynch

TEMPLE, TEXAS — Buck Linsten Lynch, 66, passed away peacefully at his
residence on Tuesday, August 9, 2011, surrounded by family. Buck was born on
October 14, 1944, to Arthur and Lila Lynch in Matador, and raised in
Whiteflat, Texas.

Buck was known for his great sense of humor and he was always so full of
life. Being deaf didn’t hold him back from anything. He enjoyed life with
his many deaf friends, and most of all with his family. Buck retired in 1997
after more than 30 years of work as a printer. Growing up, Buck attended the
Texas School for the Deaf in Austin, where he learned the trade of
printing.

He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. He is survived by
his two sisters, Lola Allison and Martha Woodard of Amarillo; wife of 40
years Frances Taylor-Lynch; step-daughter Betty Fernandini; daughters Lisa
Godsil and husband Kevin, and Molly Elliott; son Wayne Lynch and wife Pen,
and six grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m.—8:00 p.m. at Crawford-Bowers Funeral
Home on Thursday, August 11, 2011. Graveside services will be held at 10:00
a.m. at Greathouse Cemetery.
