Fall 2011 issue of The Deaf Texan – Complimentary Edition

Larry Evans, president of the Texas Association of the Deaf would like for
the current issue (Fall2011) of The Deaf Texan (TDT) to be made available to
the readership of The Deaf Network of Texas by offering a complimentary
E-copy of TDT. As part of a membership drive, readers may wish to become
members of the TAD by going to page 19 of the issue to copy and fill out the
membership application on that page. Mail the completed application and
check to the address indicated on the form.

Membership renewals in the past were generally done from conference to
conference. New TAD bylaws now permit membership to be renewed at any time
during the year and may renew two years after that date. An additional
helpful feature is that once enrolled as a member under this system, members
will be automatically reminded by email 30 days prior to membership
expiration.

As the editor of The Deaf Texan, I urge all interested persons to join the
TAD to support efforts to advocate for members and supporters of the deaf
community. It is critically important to keep all of its members up to date
with the latest news and features about events, issues, and people. Our
goal is to maximize the rights and welfare of the deaf community.
