Two exciting new professional development opportunities are being offered through Gallaudet Interpreting Service. Choose from a 9-month PAID mentorship or a 1-week intensive program, both offering 4 specialized tracks:
Legal – SC:L Preparation
CDI – Deafblind Focus
ASL to Spoken English
Option 1: 9-Month PAID mentorship for certified interpreters

The Results! Mentoring program is a theoretically based, action-oriented mentoring program designed to take interpreters to the next skill level, and beyond. This is a PAID mentoring experience for nationally certified interpreters.

Option 2: 1-week intensive specialized training – onsite at Gallaudet University
~ Register by June 30, 2012 ~
Cost: $375 per 1-week session
Discounts available for GIS staff and freelance interpreters
Come to Gallaudet University for a week-long series of workshops focusing on four specialized topics :
Legal – SC:L Preparation/Training – August 14 – 20, 2012
CODA Interpreters – August 10 – 16, 2012
CDI – Deafblind Focus – August 11 – 17, 2012
ASL to Spoken English – August 6 – 12, 2012
Take advantage of a week of intensive, specialized training on the campus of Gallaudet University. A full 7 days of training, packed full of information and strategies to foster your growth as an interpreter. Continue the connections you make on campus with 6 modules of on-line follow up readings and an opportunity to engage in group discussions with collegues in your track.
