Concordia University Texas is currently searching for an Adjunct
(Part-time) Instructor(s) for two sections of the following
undergraduate Communication Course 1311: Sign Language and Deafness.

– Class meetings are: Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30-10:45 am; Tuesday
and Thursday from 1:00-2:15 pm.
– Classes begin August 22nd and end December 14th, 2012.
– Course Description: COM 1311 Sign Language & Deafness – Beginning 3.0
– The study of American Sign Language (ASL) as used by deaf people in
the United States and Canada. The course will include a study of the
unique culture of deaf people.
– Minimum Educational and Professional Requirements:
– Previous experience teaching the course
– Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the
subject
– While a Ph.D. in the subject is preferred, applicants with a Master’s
and teaching experience will be considered
