Symposium Registration:

The First Biennial Deaf Senior 50+ Symposium will be held at West Gray
Adaptive Recrea-tion Center, 1475 West Gray, Houston, Texas 77019. The
Symposium registration fee of $25.00 covers materials, workshops and
Saturday luncheon.

Symposium Highlights:
1. Tentative Workshops including:

* “Keeping Sex Hot After 50” by Dr. Alan Marcus
* Medical Supplies
* Funeral Services
* Medicare Benefits
* Reverse Mortgage
* Financial Planning
* Overview of DARS services for deaf seniors only
* Identification of current issues or concerns affecting deaf seniors
in Texas

2. Saturday Luncheon

3. Souvenirs for registered guests.

Tentative Schedule
Friday, October 12th
9:00-11:00 a.m.: Registration
11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.: Lunch (on your own)
1:00-4:00 p.m.: Workshops
After 4:00 p.m.: On your own

Saturday, October 13th
9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon: Workshops
12:00-2:00 p.m.: Luncheon & Closing
After 2:00 p.m.: Social or go home

Caregivers, service providers and other businesses dealing with
disabled seniors are encouraged to attend, participate and give out
handouts about their programs or services on healthcare, recreation and
socializing, housing, caregiver support, options counseling, and
long-term care planning.

Registration Deadline: October 1, 2012
No Registration at Door
*Refund Policy: Deduct $10.00 for processing fee until October 1st. No
refund after October 1, 2012
