**ASL Interpreters will be provided**

The Houston Police Department will observe National Police Week beginning Monday, May 13 through Friday, May 17, 2013. The Houston Police Department will welcome the Deaf / Hard of Hearing community on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 with American Sign Language Interpreters to aid in communication.

The purpose of this observance is to increase the public’s awareness of the role of police officers and to honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice of their lives so that we can live in safety and peace.

Displays and demonstrations from the following divisions / units:

K-9, Motorcycle, Robot, Bomb Squad, Drive Team, Helicopter, Mounted Patrol, S.W.A.T., Police Pursuit Driving
