Texas Association of the Deaf Award Nominations

Call for Texas Association of the Deaf award nominations:

TAD Volunteer Award: Given to a TAD member who volunteers consistently on his/her own free time for the last two years with a “heart of gold” in the best interest of the TAD’s mission and goals.

Education Award: Given to a person who is a dedicated educator working as a teacher, administrator, classroom aided, or some other professional capacity in the field of deaf education, in a residential or day school setting. The nominee must demonstrate a strong bond with his/her students, communicate well with the parents, and is considered by his/her peers to be an excellent model for the profession.

Distinguished Service Award: Given to a person inside or outside the TAD whose services on behalf of the deaf and hard of hearing persons in Texas have had a significant impact on the welfare of such persons.

TAD/NAD Golden Hand Award: Given to any person or organization which has actively been involved in impressive activities from 2011 to 2013, that improves the social, economic, and educational well-being of the deaf and hard of hearing communities in Texas.
