Looking for Independent Interpreter Contractors – DFW

Signs2go Interpreting & Support Services, LLC has worked for interpreters in the D/FW Metroplex (predominately in Fort Worth)!
We are looking for Independent Interpreter Contractors (IICs) to work with us on a part-time basis:
-Texas BEI Court Certified
-Texas BEI Level III/Advanced or RID/NAD/NIC and EIPA
-Community Experienced, Texas BEI Level I/Basic
-Texas BEI Certified (various Certification levels) Educational Interpreters looking to get their feet wet in Community Interpreting Teams
-Newly Certified Texas BEI Basic for Team Mentoring Assignments
NON-CERTIFIED SIGNERS: PLEASE DO NOT APPLY
Some standard information:
-Our goal is to provide the best Interpreter/Deaf consumer match possible.
-We do have an interview process with a panel of 2 Interpreters and 1-3 members of the Deaf Community.
-We work on a 2 hour minimum in Tarrant county consisting of: 1 hour hands available + 30 minutes travel each way
-We work on a 3 hour minimum outside Tarrant county consisting of: 1 hour hands available + 1 hour travel each way
-We offer student rates to our IICs (on .6 CEU workshops with LOCAL presenters, offered 8-9 months of the year).
-We have a 7,000+ On-site Reference Library for Interpreter job prep and independent study.

Some things that you will need to collect and bring with you IF we set an interview:
-Current Certification card
-Social Security Card/ EIN #
-A copy of your General/Professional Liability Insurance (if you don’t have this, I have some websites/contacts you can visit)
-Driver’s license
-Car insurance
-A copy of your TB test and shot records
-Photo of your face (for the website, advertising and a company badge)
-A short bio that includes: your certification, your preferred topics to interpret, the geographic locations you prefer to work, your basic schedule of availability, something personal… (Check out the Heart & Soul page on the website to get an idea of what kind of info we want)
