iCanConnect:  A New Program for Deafblind

WEBSITE: http://www.icanconnect.org

My name is Carrie Frost, and I work through the Perkins School for the Blind as the Project Manager in Texas for the National Deaf-Blind Equipment Distribution Program (NDBEP), also known as iCanConnect.

The goal of the NDBEDP is to ensure that every person with combined hearing and vision loss has access to modern telecommunication tools and the training necessary to use them. Federally-funded by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), iCanConnect provides assessments, equipment for distance communications, and training free of charge to those who meet federal eligibility guidelines.

My job is to help publicize iCanConnect in Texas to encourage applications to the program from as many income-eligible consumers with significant combined hearing and vision loss as possible.

Please feel free to contact me at [email protected] for questions or an application.  More information can also be found at http://www.icanconnect.org
