Workshop Description: Participants will discuss ethical decision making via case studies in a confidential and supportive environment. Case studies will be discussed using the Demand Control Schema (DC-S) theory in which participants work through the demands, controls, and consequences of the interpreter’s actions within the given situation. Application to the Code of Professional Conduct and stakeholder identification will also be addressed. An overview of DC-S will be provided.

The workshop is free for NCTID members.

$15 for non-members/working interpreters
$5 students/non-certified/deaf community members (includes membership to NCTID)

Mail in registrations accepted until May 23, 2014 after that pay at the door only.

The workshop is 3hrs NCTID will be having their general meeting during that timeframe. CEUs are not available for the NCTID meeting.

Meeting and workshop is open to all deaf and hearing interpreters, interpreting students, and the deaf community.
