Milan Eugene Butler
July 31, 1927 – March 4, 2014
Milan, 86 passed away peacefully on March 4, 2014.
He was born in Seminole, OK on July 31, 1927 to Clarence and Eunice Butler. He enrolled Oklahoma School for the Deaf in Sulphur, OK and graduated in 1948.
Upon his graduation, Milan worked as a die-maker at Gaylord Distribution Corp. for 38 years and enjoyed his retirement with his family. He was a long time member of the Dallas Association for the Deaf since 1950. He was the founder of Southwest Deaf Golf and Southwest Deaf Bowling and started Cingo at DAD club. His interests were watching football, basketball, golf and bowling on TV. Oklahoma Sooners was his love. His hobbies were coin and stamp collections and some wood works and enjoyed spending quality with his family.
Milan was survived by his wife of 63-1/2 years, Dorothy and daughter Katie Stockton and three granddaughters, Tatiana, Heather, and Krista Van Dusen and one great granddaughter and one sister, Mary Ellen Norman of McAlester, OK.
