Is Communication Access in a Workplace or other Setting Challenging for you? – Austin area

Listen up! Here are questions for you all.

Are you comfortable to discuss your communication needs with your employer or your doctor?

What about requesting an accommodation (i.e., an interpreter or communication access realtime translation (CART)) in your workplace?

Is this an employer’s obligation to provide a reasonable accommodation?

If at least one of the above answers is either no or “don’t know”, come to our training to find out and to have fun learning. The training would increase your knowledge of your rights and to empower yourself as an employee, job seeker, or consumer/patient, who is deaf or hard of hearing.
