What is the next exciting event at Dallas Association of the Deaf in November?

How about CINGO GAMES!!! Yes, come to DAD and play with us…

There will be big prize money in C-I-N-G-O categories waiting for you. This could be your lucky night to win big money.

When and what time: Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 8:30 P.M.

Where: 4215 Maple Ave., Dallas, Texas 75219

Dallas Association of the Deaf (DAD) will host the regular monthly CINGO games (always on the third Saturday of each month), similar to Bingo but with playing poker cards instead. The biggest prize will be given away to the winners in each of the C-I-N-G-O category, five games total. If there is no winner in the CINGO categories, there will be a BONUS to the player who wins first. It will be repeated in each game unless there are no winners. At the end of first five games, a JACK POT competition will be the sixth game for teams of 4 players to win some money, depending on the number of participants. You will be guaranteed to return home happy if you win a big money prize.

Each player plays with 13 cards and you match the numbers and suits picked at random and displayed on two giant wall screens, which are easily visible. The rules are explained before the game starts.

CINGO fee is $10.00 per playerAdmission for the members without CINGO will be $2.00.

DAD Café will be open at 6 p.m. and food will be on sale. Check with Judy Hagen (817.200.7155 VP) for what food will be on sale..

Hearing persons who are interested in playing the games are welcome. ASL college students are welcome to earn your deaf event credit. DAD is a true Deaf culture and ASL experience, The only requirement is to be 18 years or older.

DAD is a perfect place in the Deaf community to socialize. DAD property is now worth over $1 million dollars because of new development in the area. DAD is a country club and is owned and operated by the deaf and hard-of-hearing members.

DAD’s Elections this year for the 2015 officers!

Dallas Association of the Deaf (DAD) will have a general business meeting and elections which will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014.

Where: 4215 Maple Ave., Dallas, Texas

The door opens at 6 p.m.

All eligible voters are encouraged to vote for your favorite candidates who are running DAD office. Also, you are encouraged to attend the business meeting. DAD relies on you as an important part of DAD’s future.

DAD needs our young deaf/hard-of-hearing leaders to step in and carry on the legacy of DAD for us to continue our valued Deaf and ASL culture, in the DFW area.

The meeting will start at 7:30 p.m. sharp on November 22, 2014.

DAD is one of the few Deaf clubs in the United States owned and operated by the deaf/hard-of-hearing members.

DAD’s property value has soared to over $1 million because of a new $176 million development project in the Maple/Oak Lawn area.

DAD is an excellent site for the Deaf community activities. DAD is recognized by Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c-3) non-profit organization.

DAD needs you and your attention at this important meeting and elections.

Exciting Christmas Holiday Event coming soon!!!

Dallas Association of the Deaf (DAD) is pleased to host the Annual Christmas Holiday event to get everyone together and in the Holiday spirit. Food will be served to make your stomachs full and the CINGO game will follow.

CINGO is a very popular game in our Deaf community and DAD is the perfect site for everyone to get together to visit and play. DAD is the Deaf Community’s country club.

When: December 20, 2014 — Door opens at 6 p.m.

The bar will be open so you can enjoy drinks and socialize with old and new friends before the game starts at 8:30 p.m.

CINGO is almost like the hearing people’s Bingo but with poker cards Each player plays with 13 cards and you match the numbers and suits picked at random and displayed on two giant wall screens, which are easily visible. Also, you can make up a team of 4 players to share in the prizes, if you wish. The rules are explained before the game starts.

Pre-purchased tickets are $15.00 per person for combination of meal and games (no exception). The combo tickets for the meal and games are on sale now until November 15, 2014.

If you wait until after November 15th then the combo ticket will cost $25 at the door. We encourage you to buy your ticket before November 15th to get the $10 discount.

Dinner will be barbecue catered by the CINGO committee, starting at 6 p.m.

The committee appeals to volunteers to donate a dessert to serve with the meals.

There will be big prize money and you could win in any category of C-I-N-G-O. If there is no winner in the categories then a BONUS will be added for small prize money for a single player, whoever wins first. At the end of first five games, the JACK POT will be the sixth game for any team of 4 players, depending on the number of participants. If you win a big prize in any C,I,N,G or O category, you will be very happy person. Keep your finger crossed!

All hearing individuals who wants to participate in the CINGO game is welcome. It is a great experience for hearing students who take ASL classes at our local colleges. It gives them the opportunity to interact with the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Community. The only requirement is to be 18 years or older.

DAD is a long standing establishment serving the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Community and it is important to continue our Deaf culture and American Sign Language (ASL) by helping to keep DAD thriving, with your attendance.

Come and see for yourself when you drive down Maple Ave, between Wycliff and Oak Lawn. Those who have not visited in a while will be surprised to see the new buildings around the DAD.

DAD is a place to come and enjoy a friendly and pleasant atmosphere & environment.

Any hearing student who takes an ASL, Deaf culture, or Interpreting class will be welcome at DAD for college credit.

Try to be there early for a better parking space for your vehicle. There is a steel fence around the parking lot to protect your vehicle. If the parking lot is full, you can park your vehicle the church across the street from DAD.
