SafePlace: Free online course for Interpreters 11/17/14

OFFERING: Free online course for Interpreters!

Hello, interpreters!

SafePlace Deaf Services and Disability Rights Texas are offering a free, online-only self-paced course for interpreters in the Austin area!

The online course will focus on trauma-informed interpreting in situations related with domestic and sexual violence, and will cover court issues such as confidentiality and what to do if you are subpoenaed.

The course will offer .9 BEI CEUS ( .15 Court/Ethics, .75 Ethics.) You can also earn RID CEUS through the PINRA process by submitting a request to TSID ([email protected]) before the start of the online course.

Registration begins: 11/3/14
Registration ends: 11/15/14
Start of online course: 11/17/14 at 10:00 AM CST.
Online course ends: 12/10/14 at midnight (12:00 AM 12/11/14)
