REV. DOUGLAS CHILDERS, MA, was born Deaf. “I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior when I was a senior at the California School for the Deaf. I started teaching a Christian Fellowship Bible Study while I was a student at the National Technical School for the Deaf (NTID) in New York. I was also involved in the “Tenth Coin” Evangelical Team for 2 years. I became an assistant pastor at a Deaf church in Portland, Maine. Then I was “acting pastor” there for one year.

I moved to Massachusetts and was a pastor there for about 11 years. Also in the past, I served as an adjunct faculty instructor at Northpoint (Zion) Bible College in Massachusetts for 5 years. Now I work as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor/Rehabilitation Counselor for Deaf & Hard-of-Hearing, and also lead a Deaf Bible Study. My greatest blessings are my wife and family.”

After church, we will go out to eat at a local restaurant – pay on your own.
