Applied Ethics: Putting Principles into Practice is a pastoral view of interpreters’ appropriate behavior and inappropriate actions in working with ministers and staff in various interpreting situations, including Worship Services, Meetings (Staff, Board/Deacons/Elders, Counseling, Conferences), Baptisms, Funerals, Mission trips, Prison Ministry, Special Events (Dramas, Musicals), Sporting Events, Visitation (Home, Hospital) and all other church activities.

Arthur had learned sign language in the 1970’s and entered the gospel ministry at roughly the same time.

For forty years, he has worked with Deaf people starting with establishing a Deaf Ministry in Greenville, SC and now is the Senior Pastor to the Deaf at Woodhaven Baptist Deaf Church where he has worked for thirty-two years. He is proficient in ASL as well as other sign systems. He is well versed in Deaf Culture, not only the “church” people, but prison inmates, youth camp, crisis ministry, mission trips (Ukraine and Russia) and writes bible studies and teacher manuals for a publishing company and is a volunteer chaplain for different groups.

Studies program is offered for 0.3 CEUs at the “Beginner to Advanced Content Level”
