Employment Accommodations: Serving People with Hearing Loss

9:00 am – 11:30 am

Hearing aids alone do not solve all communication challenges faced by consumers with hearing loss. At the same time, consumers are often unaware of what other devices may be available to meet their needs. In this session, participants will learn about the factors influencing hearing comprehension and why other devices or strategies may need to be implemented to ensure communication. The presenter will demonstrate a wide variety of the latest assistive technology with an explanation of each device and how it may be used.

Presenter: Rose Minette, DARS Office for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services
