AUSTIN — Dallas police have arrested Andre Dwayne Williams, 29, for allegedly threatening to “shoot up” the Texas School for the Deaf in Austin.

According to the arrest warrant, Williams allegedly was communicating with a student at the school through a video and signed that he was going to shoot up the school. Police said Williams said he didn’t “play game” and that he had three guns.

According to the warrant, Williams signed to the witness that when he ran out of ammunition for his rifle, he would then use his pistol. Williams indicated he would shoot up the school in the next “week or in two weeks, but repeatedly used the sign for ‘soon.'”

Police said the threat by Williams was made after his girlfriend broke off their relationship. Williams is a former student of the school, according to the warrant.

On Thursday an official threat was made against the school, putting the campus on lockdown.

That night Dallas police arrested Williams.

He faces a 3rd degree felony charge of making a terroristic threat.
