Responsibilities
Train new Deafblind employee on all duties/responsibilities
Provide orientation and exposure of Lighthouse positions (cross-training)
Effectively monitor and record evaluations for trainees in a timely manner
Schedule training or retrain employees as requested by department supervisor
Complete and maintain all departmental forms for T.E.S.D.
Be active in the day-to-day business of the Warehouse Shipping Department
Assist with communication needs identified for Deafblind employees
Perform other duties as requested
Qualifications
Verifiable High School diploma or GED equivalent
US citizen or verifiable documentation of ability work in the US.
Able to read and interpret any documentation related to the function of the position.
Moderate understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel (Jaws and Zoom Text are available)
Experience in a warehouse environment
Ability to communicate effectively written, verbal, ASL or alternate mode of communication system
PREFERRED REQUIRMENTS
3 years of work experience in Deafblind related field preferred
Bilingual a plus
Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL)
