Disability Rights Texas is interested in learning about the barriers to persons who are deaf or have hearing impairments in accessing assistance in dealing with a home foreclosure issues in Texas. If anyone has had any problems getting help on a home foreclosure issue, please answer the following questions:
1) If you own your home in Texas, have you had any challenges with falling behind on your mortgage payments or faced foreclosure?
2) If so, have you experienced any barriers to getting assistance from your mortgage company or other groups, such as a lack of sign language interpreters?
