Obituary for Julia Lynne Eckber
Julia Lynne Eckber, nee Shearon, died suddenly on Sunday, July 30th.
Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Monday at Greenwood Chapel with graveside service to follow at Greenwood Memorial Park.
The family will sit Shiva at their home.
Julia was born on August 27, 1943 in Fort Worth and was the only child of Veretta and Richard Shearon. Julia attended Texas School for the Deaf in Austin and graduated Valedictorian in 1962. She graduated from Gallaudet University in Washington D.C. in 1967. Julia proudly worked at the main branch of the U.S. Postal Service in Fort Worth until her retirement.
Survivors: Devoted wife of James Bernard Eckber; beloved mother of Jacob Richard Eckber; mother-in-law of Lauren Cordova; grandmother of Joseph Cordova Eckber; sister-in-law of Leatrice and Tom Gochberg; aunt of Sarah Gochberg, Kim and John Gochberg and great-aunt of Morgan and Logan Gochberg.
