Sexual Health Settings Interpreting Workshop 11/11/17 – Austin

The second workshop of Interpreter Workshop Series with Sex Education in ASL will be happening in Austin on November 11th from 9am to 3pm with one hour lunch break!

Interpreting is a fast-growing field in constant development and we need to ensure that we stay current and able to adapt to an evolving world. Participants will have opportunities to engage in hands-on activities to practice their interpreting skills for different body systems, its functions, everyday questions, and procedures/treatments. Ethics in health care interpreting will be addressed and discussed.

In this workshop, we will be focusing on our interpreting skills in sexual health care settings such as sexual health services, agencies, hospitals, therapy sessions, etc.

Time: 9am to 3pm with one hour lunch break.
