TJC Open House and Workshop 10/6/18 – Tyler

Tyler Junior College Sign Language Interpreter training Program will host an open house during E TX Deaf Awareness Week: Saturday October 6th 10 am – noon in the Pirtle Technology Building by Room T108. Light refreshments and Interpreting/Deaf related informational booths will be available. Check out the program, meet the faculty and current/former students. We have students from up 2 hours away drive to attend our program as well as others from various cities and states. We are the only program between Dallas and Shreveport. TJC has dorms and and a vibrant student life as a level 2 institution which is able to offer certain baccalaureate degrees. Come and check us out!

Following the Open House is our Workshop: “Tailgating at TJC: Sports Signs in ASL” by Coach Patrick Grona from 1 – 4 pm in Rogers Student Center Apache Rooms 3-4 (our usual meeting rooms). .BEI CEU’s pending. Great for students and interpreters in educational settings!

In addition, we invite all to stay a bit longer and go enjoy a silent dinner and then at 7 pm head to Starbucks at Loop 323 and Paluxy for Deaf Chat!
