Volunteer Interpreter Wanted – DFW

The City of Mesquite Parks and Recreation Department has an immediate need for a volunteer American Sign Language interpreter for its summer camp program. Interpreter will be responsible for attending
camp activities, field trips, and swim days with campers and staff to translate and interpret English to ASL. Interpreter must be fluent in English and American Sign Language.

The summer camp program operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., June 3-August 16 at Dunford Recreation Center in Mesquite, Texas.

This is a non-paid volunteer position. Ideal intern opportunity for someone completing their Interpreter Training Program. All potential candidates will undergo a background check and interview process.

Volunteers must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
