Message from DAD President – November 2010
Hello to all members and friends of DAD
We are in middle of November already; wow time sure did fly by fast. We
still have a lot of exciting events coming up. We also hope to complete
projects before New Year’s.
Some of you noticed some fresh new painted done inside DAD, they are in nice
warm color. It should make us feel more like at home. I want to say BIG
THANK YOU to the following members who volunteered painting inside the
clubhouse: Judy Hagen, Jesse Carrizales, Mitchel Bien, April Tatask, Pam
Carrizales, Christy Martin, Eduardo Moctezuma and Alfredo Gonzales!
I learned that Judy Hagen and Mitchel Bien were the ones who donated paints
and equipments. HAND WAVE to those volunteers.
And we should thank to Kathy Costello for donating the Lone Star metals that
are currently hanging in the patio. Ray Seal and Mitchel Bien donated the
LED Marker boards at the bar area.
If any of you have old pictures from Silent Deaf Club or DAD time, we would
appreciate to have a copy of them. Please see me or Jesse Carrizales (House
manager), if they are the only copy and we return the original picture(s)
back.
The Winter Holiday Party for the Children is scheduled on Saturday, December
18th. Please make sure to sign up (register) your child/children if you are
planning to attend. Parents or guardians are required to be WITH his/her
child/children at the party when visiting Santa in order to collect a toy or
two.
FYI: We will not have general meeting until January 2011 due to too much
events happening in the next several weeks.
For those of you who have a birthday this month, DAD would like to wish you
all a “Happy Birthday”!
And here are some upcoming events for this month:
Saturday November 20, CINGO, ya’ll come and play. Mingle new and old
friends
Friday November 26, we will open the day after Thanksgiving.
Saturday November 27, Thanksgiving feast 4:30 pm.
