Research – Need more Deaf Native adults Signers – Austin

Research – Austin TX Still need more Deaf Native adults Signers….

Dear everybody,

The University of Texas Signed Language Laboratory is still running a study about American Sign Language. I am looking for more Deaf native adult signers of ASL. The criteria is that you must have Deaf signing parents and have had exposed to ASL from birth. If you participate in the study, I will ask you to sign a list of sentences and videotape you. If you complete the study, I will pay you $25 with a big thanks!

If you qualify for the study, please e-mail me at [email protected] and tell me which days and times you are available to come to the lab (Calhoun 515) for the study. This will take approximately half an hour. I have free visitor parking passes (which are good until April 30th, 2012) so you can park at a UT garage for free.

Please spread the word to anyone who may be interested. This study has official approval from UT-Austin’s Institutional Review Board (Protocol Number 2011-09-0019).

Cheers,
Lynn
