Dallas County Health and Human Service “Partners in Preparedness” Discussion Forum for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing

You’re invited to our Partners in Preparedness meeting at Dallas County Health and Human Services

Tuesday, April 30, 2013 / 9 am to 12 pm

Come and participate in our Discussion Forum where city and county emergency managers will be available to discuss the special and unique needs of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing before, during and after a disaster. Dallas County Health and Human Services “Partners in Preparedness” is hosting a discussion forum on how we can better incorporate the unique needs of the Deaf and hard of hearing community into our emergency response plans.

The forum will consist of:
* Challenges your organization and clients face during emergencies
* Methods on how to best deliver emergency information
* Input on emergency preparedness training/outreach materials

Please feel free to invite case managers, social workers, or any other staff who have hands-on experience and can voice these populations’ unique needs.
