May 8, 1968 – October 1, 2016
Stacy Lea Wagner died at the age of 48, on Saturday morning October 1, 2016, with her life partner and brother by her side. After a relentless battle with Stage 4 Metastic Melanoma her body could no longer keep up with her fearless spirit. Her courage, grace, and generosity of spirit, repeatedly left people in awe. Her smile touched countless hearts and was a constant reminder that light shines from within. Stacy was a staunch advocate for deaf people’s rights around access to information, language, and communication. She was an active woman who loved riding bicycles, playing tennis, volley ball, and snow skiing. She was a valued employee of L3 Communications Company for 26 years who truly loved her co-workers.
Stacy was the daughter of Richard L. Wagner (deceased) and Betty Williams Wagner. She is also survived by the love of her life, her rock, and partner, Laura Salvato; sister, DeNise Drew Davis; brother, Corey Drew; sister-in-law, Niki Brossman; brother-in-law, Cyle Brossman, cousins, Ray and Ella Williams, and Millie Winningham; uncle, Ron Wagner, and the Wagner families, and her dog Mocha.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 8, 2016, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
Her partner and family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and service providers at Cancer Center Associates at Rena Tarbet Cancer Center, McKinney Medical Center, and the interpreters from Deaf Action Center.
