Texas HHSC English Prep Webinar Series for interpreters – November 2016

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Office of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services (DHHS) presents the following training opportunity:

English Prep Webinar Series

Dates: November 10 and 17; December 1 and 8, 2016

This four-day series will provide you with strategies and decision-making techniques to improve English comprehension and give you a knowledge base for the Test of English Proficiency (TEP). You will learn how to identify synonyms and antonyms from various English written materials, how to evaluate grammar in written materials, and how to improve reading comprehension skills so you can analyze a written passage and understand the relationship of ideas within the passage.

The registration link for the first webinar will be provided after you RSVP to: [email protected]. Once you use the link to register in the webinar system, you will receive an email of acceptance and a link to access the webinar classes. Send a copy of this acceptance email with your check or money order for $40 to: HHSC-DHHS, PO Box 12904, Austin, TX 78711. Your check must be received in the DHHS office by November 17, 2016 (the first class is free). Once your check is received, you will be able to attend the remaining three classes. There are no refunds for any reason.
