We’re going to provide training on how to accommodate deaf and hard of hearing students with interpreting and captioning access – digitally.

It’s become a challenge to adapt to the new platforms and figure out the best accommodations for your students who are deaf and hard of hearing. The areas of focus are online learning accessibility, examples of effective communication through various online platforms, and community resources. Learn how to add captioning or add a video of the interpreter to the recorded and live sessions.

Learning Objectives:

Participants can gain knowledge of prerequisites in order to provide clear video access for effective communication.
Participants can list different accommodations to use in tandem with online learning platforms.
Participants can evaluate scenarios to determine the best practices for effective communication.

This session is for teachers, staff, interpreters who work with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students of all levels.
