For interpreters of all levels and students that want to practice critical thinking and ethical reasoning.

The Unfolding Scenarios provide an opportunity for both practitioners and students of interpreting to practice critical thinking and ethical reasoning across a variety of hypothetical interpreting assignments.

Participants will:

  • familiarize themselves with the Code of Professional Conduct
  • analyze an interpreting scenario, and identify which CPC tenets are involved with each opportunity for an ethical decision
  • discuss possible solutions, and the implications to the parties involved
