View the captioned vlog as signed by the CSC vice chair:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nad.org\/blogs\/mdraganac-hawk\/nad-answers-ceo-search-questions\" target=\"_blank\"> http:\/\/www.nad.org\/blogs\/mdraganac-hawk\/nad-answers-ceo-search-questions<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The questions are:<\/p>\n<p>* Who are the people representing the CSC?<br \/>\n* Who created the CEO position description?<br \/>\n* Who made the nominations?<br \/>\n* What happens next?<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The vision and leadership of the new CEO will significantly impact our<br \/>\ncommunity, and it is important that everyone has information on the search<br \/>\nprocess,&#8221; said CSC Chair Kirsten Poston, who is deaf and also a NAD Board<br \/>\nmember. \u201cEveryone is welcome to help the NAD spread awareness of the CEO<br \/>\nsearch through email, blogs, Facebook and Twitter. The more people who know<br \/>\nabout the search, the better.<\/p>\n<p>Current CEO Nancy J. Bloch, appointed in 1992 as the first female executive<br \/>\ndirector, will depart by March 31, 2011. The CSC was formed by the Board of<br \/>\nDirectors in the fall of 2009 to facilitate the search effort, which will<br \/>\nscreen candidates and recommend finalists to be considered by the Board as<br \/>\nthe next CEO of the NAD.<\/p>\n<p>The CSC is currently interviewing applicants and plans to announce finalists<br \/>\nby July 2010. The finalists will be available during the 50th Biennial NAD<br \/>\nConference in Philadelphia from July 6-10 to interact with everyone, meet<br \/>\nwith stakeholder groups, and give a public presentation.<\/p>\n<p>The NAD Board will make the final selection and expects to announce the next<br \/>\nCEO by fall 2010.<\/p>\n<p>About the CSC<br \/>\nFollow the CEO search!
