Ms. Phillips was born on May 7, 1920 in Monday, Texas to David<br \/>\nGranville and Ida Victoria Johnson Wilcoxson, they preceded her in death.<br \/>\nShe was married to Montie Philips who preceded her in death in 1989.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after his passing she moved to the Deaf Action Center Apartments in<br \/>\nDallas where she was active in the senior programs and she served as the<br \/>\nsecretary and treasurer of the senior citizens group. She was also involved<br \/>\nin the Silent Friends Chapel Deaf Choir of the First Baptist Church of<br \/>\nDallas in the 1980\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by one daughter, Paula O\u2019Brian, and husband Roy, of<br \/>\nAmarillo; three grandchildren, Celia Mason, and husband Ray, of Post, Sheila<br \/>\nHiggens, and husband Daniel, of Dimmiett, TX, Edward O\u2019Brian, and wife,<br \/>\nBrandee, of Lubbock ; and nine great-grandchildren and one great-great<br \/>\ngrandchild.<\/p>\n<p>She was also preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters. Services for<br \/>\nMartha Phillips will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at<br \/>\nPeters Funeral Home Chapel with Terry Sanders officiating.
