The first recipient of the multichannel cochlear implant, Rod Saunders. Rod received his implant in the late 1970s, and through his dedication has helped to pave the way for thousands of others. <\/p>\n
Cochlear\u2019s first employee and current Chief Scientist, Jim Patrick. Dr. Patrick is responsible for helping to make speech processing technologies more usable and accessible for Nucleus cochlear implant recipients. Dr. Patrick continues to make significant technical contributions.<\/p>\n
