Considerations When Providing Communication Access for Persons Who are Deaf
\nand Hard of Hearing<\/p>\n

Join us Tuesday, June 29th from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Winters
\nBuilding, 701 W. 51st Street, Room 125 C,E,W for this ADA Round Table Event.<\/p>\n

The Texas Governor\u2019s Committee on People with Disabilities, along with
\npartners from the City of Austin and other state agencies, are instituting
\nwhat we call \u201cADA Roundtables.\u201d Each bi-monthly event will consist of two 45
\nminute talks separated by a 30 minute break for networking. Topics will be
\nrelated to a wide range of disability issues in Texas. Invitees include
\nADA Coordinators of city, county, state government, others who work with
\npeople with disabilities, and the general public. Please distribute this
\nannouncement widely.<\/p>\n

\n* Hearing Loss Severity
\n* Type of Environment
\n* Preferred Mode of Communication and Requested Accommodation
\n* Interpreter
\n* Speech-to-Text
\n* Telephone Communication
\n* Meeting Announcements<\/p>\n

There will be time to network with colleagues between sessions, and a
\nquestion and answer period during the second 45 minute session. We invite
