The form can be found on the ADARA web site at<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.adara.org\/\" target=\"_blank\"> http:\/\/www.adara.org\/<\/a> under the conference information link.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that agencies who support presenters will be recognized as<br \/>\nsponsors of the conference.<\/p>\n<p>The conference is currently planning to offer three tracks- Rehabilitation,<br \/>\nMental Health\/Chemical Dependency, and Transition\/Independent Living.<br \/>\nWithin those tracks we hope to offer training that will assist professionals<br \/>\nin developing skills that will enhance their opportunity for advancement.<\/p>\n<p>Proposals for 90 minute sessions or  in-depth training sessions of 3 hours<br \/>\nor longer are welcome. All proposals will be reviewed and a decision is<br \/>\nexpected by mid-August.<\/p>\n<p>Doug H. ADARA leadership<br \/>\nand members work to meet its mission by:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Enhancing the professional competencies of the membership;<br \/>\n\u2022 Expanding opportunities for networking among ADARA colleagues; and<br \/>\n\u2022 Supporting positive public policies for individuals who are deaf or hard<br \/>\nof hearing.<\/p>\n<p>The 2011 Conference will have three (3) tracks: Rehabilitation, Mental<br \/>\nHealth\/Chemical Dependency and Transition\/Independent Living. Proposals<br \/>\nclearly focusing on these tracks will be given priority.<\/p>\n<p>Deadline<\/p>\n<p>A completed program proposal must be emailed by June 30, 2010_ (extended to<br \/>\nJuly 23rd)_. The email should contain an attachment which includes:<br \/>\npresentation title, name(s) and information of presenter(s) with<br \/>\ncoordinating presenter listed first, presentation abstract, presentation<br \/>\nlearning objectives, presentation summary, presentation description,<br \/>\ncompensation package requested, A\/V needs, communication mode of<br \/>\npresentation\/interpreting needs and anticipated audience. All proposals will<br \/>\nbe considered understanding budgetary constraints may limit choices \u2013<br \/>\nproposals with sponsorships identified are truly appreciated (see<br \/>\nwww.adara.org for Conference sponsorship opportunities). Conference<br \/>\npresenters are also strongly encouraged to submit an article for publication<br \/>\nin the conference proceedings.<\/p>\n<p>The conference will open on April 12, 2011 with several one day<br \/>\npre-conference opportunities. Pre-conference training\u2019s will be scheduled<br \/>\nfor either half day or all day time slots. Conference breakout sessions<br \/>\nduring the full conference (April 13 \u2013 16) will be scheduled for 90 minutes<br \/>\nbut back-to-back sessions will be considered to create 3.0\/4.5\/6.0-hour<br \/>\ntraining opportunities for more in-depth learning outcomes. In addition, a<br \/>\nposter session will provide the opportunity for presenters to interact more<br \/>\nclosely with conference participants and to showcase best practices or<br \/>\nprogram models without doing a formal presentation.<\/p>\n<p>The conference offers an opportunity to bring a variety of professionals<br \/>\ntogether including vocational rehabilitation counselors, mental health<br \/>\nprofessionals, licensed professional counselors, independent living service<br \/>\nproviders, educators, transition specialists, and community-based<br \/>\nrehabilitation providers.
